Taste is something very personal. Your taste might be awfull for somebody else. So figuring out what works is important. Taking in nutrition can be hard and double as hard if the tast of what you take is not of your liking. An easy way to find out what taste you like and perhaps even more important what your stomach likes is to buy all kinds of brands and flavors.

I can’t take in Green Apple for instance, not even when I am on the couch. A better way to test gels and/or energy drinks during the hard sets or race rehearsals. In these workouts your mindset and body is in race mode and working hard to get the speed in. This is the time to find out what you like best.
I have heard people saying this is dumb and expansive. The last one might be true, but working out a whole year and then get sick during race day is even worse. In the end you want your race to go as smooth as possible, right?
